For many small and start-up businesses, business credit sometime means the balance you had on your personal credit cards before you stated the venture. While these types of cards usually have high interest rates, they also have some advantages. Many pay you cash back for dealing with certain vendors. If you going to use the plastic route for your business credit, pick card that has advantages at a supplier you use a lot for example; office supplies or business vehicle gas.
Business credit using credit cards can be rewarding and a positive business credit move when handled properly. Different companies offer no fee or low interest rates for new customers. Be ready to shift your business credit card to a new player when the better deals come along. For short term expenses a major bank card with a high authorization limit should be used when your expenses start to pile up at the close of a big project or job. Instead of paying interest rates you may only be paying an annual card fee when you pay off your business credit card usage the very next month when you get the check from that major project. Business credit can be a card game and its all in the shuffle.
